Upon your arrival in Guwahati, you will be greeted by our tour representative. You will be driven to your first destination in Shillong, after a 3 hours drive. On reaching and after checking in to the hotel the remainder of the day will be free for you to relax and have dinner.
Post breakfast in the morning, your day excursion to the wettest place on earth, Cherrapunji will take place. Located at a road journey distance of about 56 kms from Shillong, Cherrapunjee is one of the most scenic north eastern destinations in India.
The excursion to Cherrapunji will involve a visit to the famous Nohkalikai Waterfall, Mawsmai Cave, limestone caves, living Roots Bridge etc. after a day of sightseeing you will be brought back to Shillong for an overnight stay.
After having breakfast, you will be taken for a full day of Shillong exploration, shopping and visits to famous tourist attractions. Did you know that the beauty of Shillong has earned itself the title of ‘Scotland of India’? Sightseeing will involve visits to places like - Cathedral Church, Lady Hydari Park, Elephant Falls, Orchidarium etc. you can even try out authentic traditional cuisines and shop for souvenirs. Finally after a full of Shillong sightseeing you will be brought back to your hotel in Shillong for an overnight stay with dinner.
Post breakfast, you will be checked out of your hotel in Shillong and driven to your next destination of Kaziranga national park. On reaching you will be checked in to your hotel for an overnight stay. The remainder of the day will be free for you to spend in leisure.
Early in the morning after having breakfast you will be taken for a full day jeep safari tour of Kaziranga national park. You will be sighting some of the best sweeping views of the national park along with checking out the endangered one horned rhinoceros. You will also be able to spot other animals like swamp deer, gaur, buffalos, hog deer and more. If lucky, then you can also spot colourful birds from the bird watching point here. Finally after the safari ends, you will be taken for some shopping followed by an overnight stay in Kaziranga national park.
After breakfast and post checking out of the hotel in Kaziranga national park, you will be driven to your next destination in Bhalukpong. Bhalukpong is about 3 to 4 hours of road journey away from the national park. On reaching you will be checked in to your hotel, for dinner followed by an overnight stay.
Post breakfast in the morning you will be checked out of your hotel in Bhalukpong and continue your journey towards your next destination of Tawang. You will be taken for a brief sightseeing tour in Bhalukpong before going on a 6 to 7 hours of road journey to Tawang. On reaching Tawang you will be checked in to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Post breakfast you will be made to head for a full day sightseeing of Tawang. The first location would be the 400 years old Tawang monastery which is also the largest monastery in India and an important centre for Buddhist learnings. Next will be a visit to the war memorial followed by a leisurely half day with some shopping. Finally as the day ends you will be taken back to your hotel in Tawang for an overnight stay.
Early in the morning you will be checked out of your hotel and made to head to your next destination of Dirang. This will be a road trip of 7 hours where on arrival you will be checked in to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Post breakfast in the morning, you will be taken for a full day of Dirang valley sightseeing. The place is dotted with several hot water springs, apple / kiwi orchards and beautiful gardens. You will also be taken for an excursion to the offbeat scenic location of Sangti valley which is home to several fruit orchards and a great place for bird watching. By evening you will be taken to Zimthung view point. Finally you will be taken back to your hotel in Dirang for an overnight stay and dinner.
Early in the morning, post breakfast you will be checked out of your hotel. You will then be taken for a road trip to Nameri national park which will be a road journey of around 6 to 7 hours. On reaching you will be checked in to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Before breakfast early in the morning you will be taken for a jeep safari experience in Nameri national park. After the safari you will be taken for breakfast then you will be checked out of the hotel. The road trip to Guwahati will then take place which will be of 5 hours. On reaching Guwahati you will be checked in to your hotel for an overnight stay and dinner.
Post breakfast early in the morning you will be taken for some local sightseeing experience. You will be taken to Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, state museum and emporiums showcasing traditional local products. You will also be covering places like Maa Kamakhya Devi Temple, Navagraha Shukleshwar Temple etc. finally you will be headed back to your hotel in Guwahati for an overnight stay and dinner.
After having breakfast you will be checked out of your hotel and dropped off at your drop off location. The drop off at railway station or airport will mark the end of your exhilarating North East India Tour Package with us.
